There’s been an uptick in new followers recently so I wanted to kinda briefly(ok, not so briefly) reintroduce myself and at the same time post a small update on my vinyl Skull Dangler project. My name is Jonathan DuBose, not Jared Leto..I’ve made toys for myself and others for 10years. There’s a good chance you have something I made in your collection and don’t even realize it. 😁👍 I probably hand pull and clean 3-4,000 casts a year spread between close to 20 clients + my own stuff sprinkled in. The production casting side of “DuBoseArt” is growing and in the next month or so hope to be moving into a new larger workspace, creating new company (@duboseartstudios) and hiring on someone to help keep the pots filled and clients happy. 🤞😅👍 I have my first vinyl toy in production. 🥳🎉🍾I’m self funding The Vinyl Skull Dangler🤘😅(name might change..🤷‍♂️). It will be around 8in tall. 😁👍 Second pic is the factory print, third is a print I did for fun, it’s smaller than the final version and grey shows the details better. Managed to work in some 1.75in Skull Dangler molds in with the client molds I made today. Bone Keshi minis will be hitting the shop after sometime later today! Let’s shoot for 7pm cst. I gotta do some test shots and client updates. [CASTING CLIENTS] I’m saving myself like 20 messages with this.. Urethane plastic and rubber prices have gone up, more so than normally due to a shortage in raw materials. (Second pic) Smooth ons my big supplier but I also get things from Alumilite...this shortage is effecting them both basically because they all get their stuff from Dow. Prices will go up some( not too much.. maybe a buck or two) only because it’s costing me more. Rubber in particular is getting harder to find in larger bulk quantities. I just paid out the ass for some.. that’s why I bring it up. 😅👍I do my best to keep the prices low but some things are out of my control. #duboseart #littlerubberguys #kinkeshi #keshi #skulls #musclefigures

If you do a lot of 3d printing like I do or even just once in a while, resin or filament based, make sure you grab a flexible build plate (FBP) for your printer. I snagged one from @whambamsystems for my @anycubicofficial Photon Mono X and couldn’t be happier with the results. Not saying this because they might send me a free T-Shirt(Medium😉). I was gonna print out an 8in one to send off to the factory but who would have thunk it? we live in the future!! so I just emailed the files over. 💻👾💻 The factory is printing prototype now and holy shit I’m gonna have a badass looking vinyl toy soon. 😲 How soon?
